Today, my daughter had the day off of school. It was one of those random days off that some school districts throw in there to allow teachers time to work their magic. She and I went to the movies. I didn’t realize the depth of my addictions to certain foods until I went somewhere that smelled of popcorn. One of my all-time favorite foods is popcorn. My biggest weakness is white cheddar cheese popcorn with the cheese powder on the popcorn so thick that it comes off in clumps on your fingers. Smelling popcorn was even hard. I was so tempted by the smells and sounds of popcorn popping at theater. I made sure I couldn’t surrender to the temptation. I brought an Isalean bar (I normally drink a shake between breakfast and lunch, but since I was out, a bar was far more convenient), enough money to buy myself a Smart Water, and two free movie passes. We saw “Into The Woods.”
The swelling in my knee is nearly back to normal. I am still a little bit sore in both knees, but the soreness is normal for me, especially when I don’t run. Tomorrow I will start running again. I’m pretty excited to get back on the running bandwagon. I found that upping my caloric intake is really helping with weight loss. Besides the popcorn, I don’t really miss the foods I used to love. The long weekend is going to be tough, but I’m hoping to last 30 days without eating sugar, drinking soda, or having alcohol. If I can make it until the 1st of February, I will feel somewhat victorious (my husband’s 40th birthday party is that day, and my intention is for that day to be a cheat day).

AM Snack: Lemon Isalean Bar
Lunch: Light Chicken Caesar Salad
PM Snack: Apple
Dinner: Creamy Pesto Chicken with Gluten Free Pasta (low-fat Alfredo Sauce)
IsaFlush Pill and water
*My weight did not change between yesterday and today, but I lost a few inches, so I’m not too disappointed with the results.
